A number of roles are available for regulatory economists seeking to work for a leading international consulting practice. The firm has a well established portfolio of clients including regulated businesses, economic regulators, solicitors and companies in the UK, Europe and Internationally. Providing critical insight and expert analysis on a range of regulatory issues including price reviews, market analysis, strategic decision-making, public policy debates, M&A transactions and competition cases .

Relevant Skills and Experience:

You will have a strong understanding of economic regulatory issues and frameworks. Experience of contributing to analytical or policy projects involving complex economic and financial issues. Analytical and problem solving skills to offer solutions based on clients need. Experience of MS Office applications and other relevant software an advantage. Dealing with competition issues also advantageous.

Background and qualifications:

• 3 to 6 years experience of regulatory economics and/or regulatory finance working at an economic regulator, regulated business or another consultancy.
• A 1/2.1 in economics (or higher degree), finance or related relevant discipline from a university with a strong reputation.
• Strong organisation and communication skills both written and oral.
• A good understanding of commercial and market issues and how they affect and fit into the wider picture.
